Our Cultural Farm in Poolesville is not only a place where food grows. It’s a space where community, tradition, and sustainability take root. And next week, we’re calling on our community to lend a hand.
We need volunteers Monday through Wednesday, July 7–9, to help us maintain and nurture this special place. Whether you’re an experienced grower or just someone who enjoys fresh air and meaningful work, your help will make a real impact.
Here’s how you can join us:
📅 Dates: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – July 7, 8, and 9
⏰ Time: Drop in anytime between 9 AM and 7 PM
📍 Location: AfriThrive Cultural Farm
19125 Jerusalem Road, Poolesville, MD 20837
Come for an hour or stay the whole day. We’ll be working on seasonal tasks like weeding, planting, and preparing beds for new crops. No experience is necessary. Just bring water, wear comfortable clothes, and show up ready to contribute.
Why It Matters
Volunteering at the farm is a great way to support local food access, connect with the land, and be part of something that nourishes our entire community. Your time helps us keep the farm strong and supports our programs that provide fresh, culturally relevant produce to families across the region.
