Maryland’s Earth Day Movement Starts Here
Every spring, AfriThrive will invite you to grow more than a tomato. We invite you to grow a movement. Grow With Us is our signature Earth Day initiative that combines community gardening with purpose-driven fundraising to create lasting change in families in Baltimore, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties.
In 2025, we’re planting tomatoes. However, this might be new in the future. Our goal remains the same – to build healthier, more connected communities through sustainable gardening, cultural learning, and collective giving.

Here’s How You Can Join
Whether you’re a parent, teacher, business owner, community leader, or student, we invite you to partner with us. Grow With Us is a statewide call to action for Earth Day that turns gardening into a shared movement for change. You don’t need a big budget or a green thumb, just a willingness to plant something meaningful.

01. Plan to Plant on Earth Day 2026
In 2025, we distributed over 50 tomato seedlings. In 2026, we aim to triple that. Whether it’s tomatoes, herbs, or culturally relevant crops, we’ll help you plant something meaningful.
02. Sign Up for Early Updates
Get notified when our 2026 campaign launches. Receive early access to seedlings, volunteer opportunities, and growing guides.
03. Partner With Us
Schools, organizations, and local businesses can host plant giveaways, sponsor seedling kits, or run their own Grow With Us Day using our materials.
