All proceeds support AfriThrive’s Food as Medicine initiative, bringing culturally appropriate nutrition to families across Montgomery, Baltimore, and Prince George’s Counties.

In 2025, Taste of Africa brought together hundreds of community members, chefs, performers, and changemakers for an evening that celebrated African heritage and invested in the health of Maryland families.
AfriThrive was honored by Montgomery County Council Vice President Will Jawando and recognized by Governor Wes Moore for the measurable, community-rooted impact this work represents.
