SUMMARY:AfriThrive's Taste of Africa 2026
DESCRIPTION:Where Food\, Culture\, and Community Come Together \nTaste of Africa is AfriThrive’s premier annual gathering\, bringing together families\, community leaders\, health advocates\, and partners for an evening that celebrates the deep connection between cultural food traditions and community well-being. This is more than a meal. It is a living expression of what AfriThrive has built over more than five years of culturally rooted food access work across Montgomery\, Prince George’s\, and Baltimore Counties. \nGuests will experience the richness of African culinary heritage alongside practical knowledge about food as medicine\, live demonstrations from chefs and nutrition advocates\, and meaningful connection with others committed to health equity and food justice. Every element of the evening reflects AfriThrive’s core belief: that food is not charity. Food is culture\, dignity\, and community resilience in action.
